Take one of the most popular hiking trails up to Lake Agnes. The trail is easily completed in half a day, making Lake Agnes the perfect place to take a rest, eat lunch or stop by the teahouse. The log cabin, that is over 100 years old, is the perfect place to enjoy the view while snacking on delicious baked goods that are made fresh every morning. Once rested, you can circle around Lake Agnes to the Beehive Gazebo for breathtakingly beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Next, hikers can take the Highline Trail to the Plain of Six Teahouse. Though bigger than the Lake Agnes Teahouse, this one boasts the same tasty teas and treats. With the views of six glaciers, as well as the sights and sounds of the occasional avalanche, visitors are sure to feel one with nature. As you hike back down, you can finish your day with a stroll from the back of Lake Louise.

Another way to experience beautiful Lake Louise and Moraine Lake is by water. Canoes are available for rental, making your trip one for the books.

If this does not sound like enough adventure for you, don’t hesitate to bring more excitement to your day by venturing to the rapids of the Kicking Horse River. Here, you can conduct your very own Wild Water Adventure, hurdling through class IV rapids. For even more of an adrenaline rush, you can embark on a Maximum Horsepower trip, with class IV+ rapids that will bring you on an adventure you will never forget. If the larger rapids intimidate you, or you are looking for a family affair, then the Gentle Journey is calling your name—but don’t be fooled, you will still get wet!

Looking for a more relaxed way to the top? Why not soar to the peak in a Lake Louise Gondola. Both traditional enclosed gondola cars or open air chairs bring you to an elevation of 6850 feet in just 14 minutes. Once arrived, you can immerse yourself in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, and even a glimpse of Lake Louise! Complete your trek by embarking on one of the several simple hikes or partake in an interpretive program where you can learn about the local animals and how they survive. The lucky ones will see this wildlife on their way back down!
