The first thing to expect is a complete ‘digital detox!’ Baker Creek Mountain Resort does not have cellular (mobile) phone service (there is a payphone available for guests to use), there are no televisions or telephones in any of our cabins or lodge suites. We do offer our guests complimentary WiFi. Our WiFi signal is received from a satellite and distributed around the resort via nodes. The signal is not consistent and you may experience some network latency when using the WiFi based on the signal strength and the number of users. There is a pay phone available for guests to use and 911 emergency calls can also be made from the phone on the wall next to the main office door.
In keeping with our commitment of being stewards of our natural environment we do not have air conditioning in our cabins or lodge suites. We subscribe to the ‘open window’ concept for fresh air.
The majority of our cabins and lodge suites feature wood–burning fireplaces or stoves.  We do have your fire set for you to enjoy and additional firewood is available at the Front Desk.
Our tap water is some of the best in the world! Turn on the tap and enjoy. Please note that we are on a septic system so please be aware and do not leave the tap running. It is vital that nothing other than our toilet paper is ever flushed down our toilets.

We love animals! Our resort is a fantastic place to bring your furry animal family members! We even have dedicated cabins that can accommodate. For only $20 extra per pet, per night you get our pet care package, call us today to book this cabin or to get more information. Please be aware that we require all pets to be on a leash as the resort is located in bear habitat. Pets, especially dogs can be an attractant to bears. No animals to be left unattended in any guest rooms.

Guests are welcome to use the fire pits located around the resort. Firewood is available at the front desk. Please ensure your fire is fully extinguished prior to leaving it.

We have the Bistro on site at Baker Creek which offers fresh made creative Canadian food. Please see the Bistro page to review menus.

Our cabins and some lodge suites that have kitchens are fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans and everything you will need. Please ensure that if you bring a cooler of food with you, nothing is left outdoors as you are in bear country! And remember, please DO NOT FEED ANY WILD ANIMALS!

We have propane barbecues available for rent.
Please note that we cannot confirm a specific suite or cabin number for your stay at Baker Creek Mountain Resort. We are happy to confirm a room type and we will do our best to accommodate your request for a specific cabin or suite on arrival. We will always do our best to ensure you receive your favourite cabin or lodge suite.
No matter the season, there are certain things to always pack when visiting the mountains:

  • Lip Balm
  • Sunscreen
  • A Camera
  • A hat – toque (beanie) in the winter and a hat with a brim in the summer months.

As temperatures fluctuate in all seasons it is the norm to dress in layers. In the winter ensure you have a good quality winter coat and in the spring and summer bring a raincoat. If you are planning on doing any hiking, good sturdy shoes that will provide a solid foothold or hiking boots are recommended.

As summer approaches Baker Creek Mountain Resort is acquiring some new activities for guests:

  • Bikes
  • Fishing rods

We are as excited as you to spend the summer here at Baker Creek and this summer we will have some bikes to offer you so you can cruise up and down the beautiful Bow Valley Parkway as well as some fishing rods so you can try your luck in the river. All equipment rentals are available upon request and subject to availability.
