On July 25th, we suffered the loss of our bistro to an extensive fire. While redevelopment takes place, we will maintain grab and go breakfast and lunch options from our Creekside Café, which also offers snacks, espresso beverages, beer, wine, and ice cream. We anticipate being able to return to normal food and beverage operations this upcoming winter. In the meantime, our team would be happy to assist you with reservations at an alternative Lake Louise restaurant, just ten minutes away.

One of our favorites is The Station, located in the heritage railway building and open Wednesday to Sunday. If you’ve never been, it’s fantastic! (Hint – ask for John.) The Post Hotel has generously offered to host guests of Baker Creek, despite being closed to the public. Please just mention you are staying with us. The Lake Louise Inn has several dining options available ranging from pizza & pasta to Rocky Mountain Cuisine. If you’re in Banff for the day, please ask our team for recommendations as there are many excellent options.

As always, overnight guests are welcome to bring any of their own food and beverages to enjoy during their stay. All our cabins and some lodge suites have kitchenettes fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, and other kitchen essentials. Our Jacuzzi Suites do not have kitchenettes but are furnished with a mini-fridge and microwave for your convenience. Several communal BBQs are available, and we have portable options that can be delivered to your room. For more details about resort amenities, please visit https://bakercreek.com/our-resort/.

Some in-room amenities, like our charcuterie and chocolate dipped strawberries are unavailable at present, but we can offer a range of hand-crafted chocolates from L’ Chocolatier in Canmore and would be happy to pair it with a wine of your choosing.

We appreciate your kindness and understanding during this transitional time with our bistro. Please let us know if you have any questions, or if we can do anything to make your stay more enjoyable.

Return to this page for updates about our anticipated reopening. We look forward to welcoming you back to our new and improved bistro soon!
